Oil Park Development Company and Tuwaiq Association for the Cadres Industry Humanity in the Eastern Province forge partnership to empower workforce and drive social investment

In a significant step towards supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals, the Oil Park Development Company (OPDC), fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and responsible for developing THE RIG., has entered into an agreement with Tuwaiq Association for the Cadres Industry Humanity in the Eastern Province. This meaningful partnership is dedicated to advancing the “Tadafur” program, which focuses on elevating social development and workforce capabilities throughout the Kingdom.

Signed by Raed Bakhrji, CEO of OPDC, and the Chairman of the Board of Tuwaiq, Khalid Ahmad AlObaid, the agreement includes areas of cooperation, including activating social responsibility, participating in achieving social investment goals in companies, increasing the participation of women, and enabling the integration of persons with disabilities into the labor force.

Khalid AlObaid emphasized that the agreement aims to employ a significant number of young men and women from the Eastern Region registered in the job seekers database. This will be achieved by training and qualifying them in collaboration with partners in various training institutes and centres. These training programs cover several administrative and technical specialties that align with the labour market needs.

On his part, Raed Bakhrji, stated: “We are keen to partner with Tuwaiq due to its excellence and professionalism in the field of Human Resources. Tuwaiq operates one of the outstanding localization programs that ensures sustainability for the nonprofit sector and contributes to development by enhancing human resources.”

He added: "Our collaboration with Tuwaiq on the “Tadafur” program reflects our firm commitment to driving both social and economic development. This partnership not only improves the quality of life of citizens, but also promotes the localization of jobs and the empowerment of local talent. These initiatives are vital for creating new employment opportunities in the Eastern Province, in line with the ambitious goals of Vision 2030, and we are honoured to be part of this transformative journey."

Both Khalid AlObaid and Raed Bakhrji expressed their gratitude to the Governor of the Eastern Region, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, and his Deputy, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bander bin Abdulaziz, as well as to the Eastern Chamber of Commerce for hosting the signing of this agreement.
